Diesel Technician / Automotive Technician

  • Job Description
  • Diesel technicians are tasked with repairing the most challenging and time-sensitive problems that vehicles have when they arrive at the service department.  Diesel technicians also may spend much of their time diagnosing and repairing unusual problems, rather than conducting more routine vehicle service or simple repairs. 
  • The duties of a Diesel technician include:
  • Conferring with customers or service advisors to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems, and to discuss work to be performed and future repair requirements.
  • Examining vehicles to determine wear and extent of damage or malfunctions.
  • Testing and adjusting repaired systems to meet manufacturers' performance specifications.
  • Ensuring that the shop is in excellent condition in regard to cleanliness, safety, and equipment condition, and conducting periodic spot checks to maintain high-quality service.
  • Test-driving vehicles, and testing components and systems, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges and computerized diagnostic devices.
  • Overhauling engines.
  • Job Requirements
  • Master Diesel Technicians should:
  • Have 5+ (preferably all 8) The National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications which include:
  • (engine repair, engine performance, heating and air conditioning, electrical systems, automatic transmissions, manual transmission and axle, brakes and front end)
  • Should have at least five plus years of experience as an automotive technician.

Job Description:

  • The Automotive Finance Manager assists the department manager to lead and direct the entire Sales staff while working as a Finance Manager

  • Automotive Finance Managers help our customers arrange the financing of their purchases, and also present them with additional products that enhance their vehicle and ownership experience

  • Proficiency in structuring deals for maximum profitability and collectability

  • Fully proficient with title laws and registration process

  • Maintains proficiency and certifications as required for the position

  • Automotive Finance Managers accurately desks deals, submits deals to lenders for approval, makes credit decisions, and effectively closes deals

  • Ensures all deals are fully compliant with local, state, and federal guidelines

  • Prepares paperwork, contracts, and delivers deals

  • Prepares and mails all deal packages with complete and proper documentation to lenders, or follows any other process that may be in place in their respective department

  • Accurately audits team deals post-sale

  • Ensures the expeditious funding of all contracts

Job Requirements

  • Must have 2 years of auto dealership experience in Finance & Insurance

  • Subprime (special finance) experience a plus

  • Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software and internet proficiency

  • Excellent verbal/written communication, strong negotiation and presentation skills

  • Professional appearance

  • Must possess the ability to ask for the sale and follow through

  • Valid U.S. driver's license

Auto Body Technician / Automobile Body Technician / Body Tech

Busy shop in Jarrettsville looking for auto body tech with a minimum of 5 years experience, flat rate Monday-Friday. 

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:  

  • Examine damaged vehicles and estimate repair costs.
  • Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window-and-seat-operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle body and fenders.
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels
  • Straighten bent automobile frames.
  • Refinish repaired surface.
  • Aim headlights, align wheels, and bleed hydraulic brake system.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five + years of experience as a vehicle body repairer.
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles. 
  • Valid driver's license. 
  • Ability to interpret vendor catalogs.
